Continued ministry in Augusta, GA

Continued ministry in Augusta, GA

Can you believe we are just shy of 1 month since Hurricane Helene tore through the Southeast! Your MODR teams have been SO busy during that time. Our feeding crews spent the first 15 days operating a Mass Feeding kitchen where they prepared over 85,000 meals for distribution. Recovery teams have completed over 200 jobs so far! Well over 1,000 volunteer days have been given with over 12,000 volunteer hours so far! Praise the Lord for the ministry that is occurring. With all of that amazing work that has been accomplished, there is still a great deal to be done. In the weeks after a disaster, it is often easy for folks to forget about those affected … or one news story takes away the focus from other areas of need. Please know there are still many needs and opportunities in Augusta. We have nearly 400 more job requests on the registry. Many still need to be assessed, while others are still patiently waiting for workers.

Please continue to pray for those affected by these storms. The needs are great, and we anticipate they will be for at least the next several weeks.

If you aren’t a trained MODR volunteer, but would like to volunteer with our teams, you may do so by filling out the Non-trained form found here: Non-Trained Volunteer Form

Keep an eye out at www.modr.org to see how you can continue to Pray. Give. and Go.

Thank you for your support of Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief. We expect this storm to continue to require an enormous number of resources to meet needs. If you would like to give to this response, you may do so at www.modr.org/give and select Hurricane Helene from the drop-down menu.
