Disaster Relief ministry continues in Florida

UPDATE – October 14, 2022

Venice, Florida — Work continues in western Florida following Hurricane Ian.

MODR officials are expressing huge thanks to Michigan Southern Baptist Disaster Relief for their fantastic crew of volunteers. Assistance in Venice has also come several other state convention partners including: Illinois, Kansas-Nebraska, Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia, Indiana and Minnesota-Wisconsin Baptists.

They have received much help from the First Baptist Church of Venice as well.  Gaylon Moss, MODR director said their church has been hosted well by this fine church, served by pastor Tom Hodge.

Operations continue in Venice with chain-saw, flood recovery and shower-laundry units continuing to operate.  The mass-care feeding unit was expected to conclude ministry on October 15.

The Cooperative Program is not only a way to give but also a way to work together in a “cooperative way.”  To give to the Hurricane Ian disaster relief fund, go to www.modr.org/ian.
