  • Training Options

  • The recertification classes are 50 minute classes on Saturday only and begin at 8:00 am, please see the training class schedule on the website for specific class times.

You will only need to attend classes on Friday if you meet one of the following criteria:

    • Your badge is expiring this year
    • You are recertifying in Chaplaincy or IMT

  • In order to receive Chaplaincy training, you must meet the following prerequisites:

    1) You must be trained in other areas of DR.
    2) You must have practical experience working a disaster as a yellow hat.
    3) You will be required to turn in a recommendation form before the day of training. (provided via email after registration)
  • Choose "no" if you do not know what this means.
  • Recertifications for standard service areas will be issued through shortened classes. You may choose multiple areas for recertification. You must have been trained in an area in the past to qualify for recertification.
  • Volunteers will be trained in the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform in the Operations, Administration, Planning, and Logistics areas of the IMT.

Computer skills are required (Excel, Word, and Email familiarity helpful) and previous MODR deployment experience is preferred.

IMT training (for both first-timers and those recertifying) will require training on both Friday and Saturday the week of the class. First timers will need to take the "Intro to DR" online via video before the start of the training event. Information about this video will be sent via email after you register.
