Hurricane Helene Rebuild – Burnsville, NC
MODR is continuing our Hurricane Helene relief efforts by partnering with NC Baptists in their desire to repair at least 1,000 homes affected by the storm. We are still working out the details but plan to begin in January 2025.
We are asking Missouri Baptist churches to recruit construction teams or individuals to help us meet this goal. Team members do not need to be trained in disaster relief to participate.
Who: Missouri Baptist church members, 18 years and older, with a good attitude, works well with others in difficult conditions. Teams should have a ratio of 1skilled construction worker per 8 volunteers. Fewer volunteers is ok.
What: Repairs to homes affected by Hurricane Helene. Mainly replacing floors, doors, interior walls, siding, some electrical, some plumbing, etc.
When: January 2, 2025-June 30, 2025 with the possibility of extending
Where: Western NC – Burnsville, NC

Hurricane Helene has impacted the lives of thousands throughout the Southern United States. Your church can make a difference by calling for prayer for victims and volunteers.
Financial gifts are also desperately needed at this time. Remember, 100% of gifts given to MODR will go directly to recovery efforts. Staffing and overhead has already been paid for by the Cooperative Program.
