UPDATE: As of Saturday 10/1/22, several MODR volunteers on Task Force Ian are traveling from Birmingham, Alabama to First Baptist Church Venice, FL (between Bradenton and Cape Coral) where DR crews will set up to assist in the wake of Hurricane Ian. The hurricane caused significant damage as it tracked west to east through central Florida. Officials are calling it a category 4 hurricane. When it hit the western coast of Florida winds were being clocked at 150 miles per hour. It has moved north and is now impacting the coast of South Carolina. Check back with this page early next week for more detailed information about MODR response to the hurricane relief efforts.
