Missouri Baptist DR is preparing for a response to Hurricane Ian which is expected to make landfall on the west coast of Florida on Wednesday, September 28th.
Volunteers are being put on alert for a possible deployment. A forward advance team, known as “Task Force Ian,” will stage in the Birmingham, Alabama area on Friday to be prepared to go into Florida as soon as it is safe to proceed. They will access the situation and call for more volunteers as needed.
Gaylon Moss, MODR director asked that volunteers be ready to respond when called, for all people to pray for people impacted by the storm and to give to Hurricane Ian relief efforts. A link is being provided at the website: www.modr.org/give
