Hurricane Helene made landfall in the Big Bend of Florida just after 11 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, as a Category 4 hurricane in Florida’s Big Bend region.

MODR staging team, Task Force Helene, left First Baptist Church, Charleston, MO, with plans to respond to Augusta, GA by Saturday, Sept. 28.

It is reported that more than four million people are without power across Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia. At least 26 deaths have been reported.
