Ukrainian Food Project

By Richard Nations

Missouri Baptists have contributed funds for 25,000 meals in the first month of the Russia/Ukrainian war, and funds have been sent to purchase another 15,000 meals.

Missouri Disaster Relief Director Gaylon Moss said the food is purchased and prepared in Ukraine and distributed by churches in Ukraine. Each bread bag contains a gospel tract.

The food served is a loaf of bread, a jar of sausage spread (a local favorite) and cake.

People who desire may continue to donate to the feeding project may send checks to the Missouri Baptist Convention Disaster Relief, 400 E. High Street, Jefferson City MO 65101 or online at modr.org/Ukraine. Checks should be marked for Ukraine food relief.
