Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Because of you, Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief (MODR) volunteers have been able to bring help, hope, and healing across our state in the wake of recent storms. Here’s a look at how God is using our ministry in this busy season:
✅ Monett Response Complete
Last week, we wrapped up our work in Monett after completing 45 work requests and logging over 300 volunteer days. Thank you to all who served!
✅ Springfield Response Concludes
Our Springfield operation closed yesterday, May 23. In total, MODR teams completed 94 work requests, contributed over 640 volunteer days, served 1,873 meals, and had numerous opportunities to pray with and minister to those affected.
🛠️ New Areas of Service
Following last week’s storms, MODR is actively serving in St. Clair and Henry counties, partnering with local Emergency Management offices to support cleanup and explore future opportunities.
⛪ Partnering in Sikeston
We’re honored to partner with Old Bethel Baptist Church to assist the Sikeston community after a tornado hit the area. Please keep this community in your prayers as recovery continues.
🍽️ Ongoing Work in Saint Louis
MODR teams remain hard at work in Saint Louis, where we’ve already prepared nearly 4,500 meals for first responders, community organizations, and local residents. Our chainsaw teams, chaplains, and shower/laundry crews are ministering to those in need—and we’re just getting started. Many are still without power, and we anticipate an increase in recovery work in the coming weeks.
We are grateful for every volunteer who has given their time and every supporter who makes this work possible through prayer and resources. Together, we are the hands and feet of Jesus to those in crisis.
