It’s been a little more than two years since Russia invaded Ukraine in an escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War that started in 2014. The latest invasion, which began on February 24, 2022, became the largest attack on a European country since World War II. As a result, hundreds of Ukrainian citizens were affected, which prompted the Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief (MODR) to assist those who were displaced or suddenly homeless by contributing funds for meals. Today, MODR in partnership with another ministry continues to support the Ukraine with meals and donations.
“We want people in Missouri to know that their donations are still being used to help those who are going through this war,” says Moss, noting that the food is shared along with the gospel through partners working with Ukrainian believers. “At the same time, we want the people in the Ukraine to know that they haven’t been forgotten.”
People who desire may continue to donate to help with the Ukrainian response. Send checks to the Missouri Baptist Convention Disaster Relief, 400 E. High Street, Jefferson City MO 65101 or online at modr.org/Ukraine. Checks should be marked for Ukraine.
